The 2022 Digital Vision.

This is my third year making vision boards. The last two years I made my vision boards the old fashioned collage way. Throughout the year I spent time collecting magazines from my magazine subscriptions and when it was New Year's Eve I did the cutting, the pasting, and the gluing.

While your girl loves a good collage, it was very time consuming and in 2022 we are working smarter not harder. This isn’t my first rodeo when it comes to vision boards or educating others how to create them, read my Odyssey blog “10 Things to include in your vision board” to get a glimpse at my 2020 vision board.

Every New Year's Eve, I make my vision board and set my intentions for the new year. This year I made my vision board digitally using the free version of Canva. I love the way it turned out and it is my new laptop background so I am constantly reminded of my visions. I'll be the first one to tell you that one of my areas of opportunity is graphic design so if I can create on Canva, so can you. Before you start stressing, I break down the steps of how to create a digital vision board below.

Steps to Create a Digital Vision Board:

  1. Before you begin, write down what you want to accomplish this year. For some thought starters, brainstorm what you want to achieve in the following categories: personal goals, educational goals, health goals, places you want to travel, etc.

  2. Create a free Canva Account.

  3. In the search box, use the keyword “vision board” to find templates available or use a blank template if you are a great graphic designer.

  4. Reference the list of the things you want to accomplish this year and do a google search and a pinterest search for pictures or quotes that visually depict your goals.

  5. Save your vision board as a PNG and make it your laptop background and phone background.
